R. W. M. Bro. Thomas A. Porteous
Welcome to Lodge Greenock St. John's No. 175
It is my great pleasure to extend a warm and sincere welcome to the official website of Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175.
With a proud history extending over 236 years, our Lodge is firmly established within the traditions and heritage of Freemasonry. It is both appropriate and necessary, however, that an organisation with such a distinguished history should continue to develop, adapt and look towards the future. This website reflects that continuing spirit of progress and renewal, while maintaining the principles and traditions upon which our Lodge has been founded.
This website has been established as an informative resource for our members, providing access to the information, news and events that form an important part of Lodge life. We hope it will assist our members in making the fullest possible use of their membership and in remaining informed and connected with the activities of the Lodge.
We also warmly welcome visitors to our website. For those who are not members of the Craft, and for those who may simply have an interest in Freemasonry, these pages provide an opportunity to learn more about Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175, its history, traditions and activities, and the contribution it makes to the wider community.
Whatever the reason for your visit, whether you are a longstanding member, a visitor from another Lodge, someone considering membership, or simply a casual visitor, I trust that you will find these pages informative and of interest.
We invite you to take the time to explore our website and, in particular, to visit our News and Events sections, where you will find the latest information and updates from Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175.
On behalf of the Lodge, I thank you for taking the time to visit our website and extend to you our very best wishes.
Welcome to Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175.
