Brethren,

 

It has been most encouraging to see a number of Brethren return to their Mother Lodge during the past year.

 

We have also been privileged to welcome a steady influx of Candidates, which bodes well for the future of our Grand Old Lodge.

​

As we now enter our 237th year, it is incumbent upon us all to play our part in ensuring that the Lodge continues to prosper and that many more milestones may be celebrated in the years ahead.

​

To that end, we would particularly appeal to those Brethren who, for whatever reason, have been absent from our meetings for some time. The strength and prosperity of any Lodge depends upon the support and attendance of its Brethren, and there is no better way of supporting the Master and the Lodge than by taking your place once again amongst your Brethren.

​

We fully appreciate that, after a lengthy absence, making that first step back through the Lodge door may not always be easy. However, we can assure you that you will receive a warm and fraternal welcome, and may well find yourself asking why you left it so long.

​

Should you wish to return to the Lodge, simply come along to our next meeting. The Secretary and Treasurer will be pleased to assist you and guide you through the straightforward process of returning to being a Member in Good Standing.

​

Alternatively, should you prefer a more informal approach, you are most welcome to visit the Lodge on a non-meeting evening for a friendly chat with the Office-bearers. They will be pleased to offer whatever assistance is required and answer any questions you may have.

​

There is no ceremony, no embarrassment and no difficulty — just a Brother returning to his Mother Lodge and being welcomed home by his Brethren.
