Wellington Square Lodge No. 725
Brethren, the pictures below are from the Installation of Brother Ross McPhail as RWM in his Mother Lodge, Wellington Square Lodge No. 725 in Burlington, Ontario on the 10th November 2016.
Brother Ross McPhail was Installed into the Chair of King Solomon by his Father, Brother Duncan McPhail PM.
The McPhail Family have a connection with Greenock as Brother Duncan McPhail PM emigrated to Canada from Greenock in 1964. More especially is their connection with Lodge Greenock St. John's No. 175 through Duncan's Father and Grandfather which is obviously the Grandfather and Great Grandfather of Ross.
Brother Thomas McPhail was a War Reserve Policeman aged 34 when he joined Lodge Greenock St. John's No. 175 and was Initiated on the 27th March 1942, Passed on the 1st May 1942 and Raised on the 5th June 1942.
Brother Duncan McPhail was a Flesher aged 33 when he joined Lodge Greenock St. John's No. 175 and was Initiated on the 4th November 1908, Passed on the 19th November 1908 and Raised on the 10th December 1908.
It was due to the connection with our Lodge that prompted Brother Duncan McPhail PM to arrange for a Lodge Greenock St. John's No. 175 Master Mason's Apron to be presented to his Son at his Installation.
It is the sincere wishes of both RWM's that this can be the beginning of an association between Wellington Square Lodge No. 725 and Lodge Greenock St. John's No. 175 which will hopefully include a Visitation in the not too distant future.
The Picture below show's the RWM Brother Ross McPhail (3rd from the left) with his Parents, Duncan and Ellen, and R.W. Brother Brian Gilkinson.
