A Historic Evening at Lodge Greenock St John’s No. 175.
Lodge Greenock St John’s No. 175 was filled to capacity as brethren gathered to celebrate a remarkable milestone in Freemasonry—the presentation of a 60-Year Service Diploma to Past Master Brother Alexander Galbraith.
With over 100 brethren in attendance, the meeting saw a fantastic turnout from both within and out with the Province of Renfrewshire West. The Lodge was especially honoured to welcome a distinguished Deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland, headed by the Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason, Brother Alexander C.G. Moncrieff.
During the ceremony, the Right Worshipful Master delivered a comprehensive 60-year timeline of Brother Alex’s Masonic career to date, highlighting many iconic milestones and dedicated service throughout six decades in the Craft. Following the address, the Right Worshipful Master travelled from East to West, accompanied by the Most Worshipful Grand Master Mason, to formally present Brother Galbraith with his 60-Year Diploma and Service Jewel.
After the meeting concluded, brethren retired upstairs for harmony, where the vast majority stayed behind to continue the celebrations, share fine fellowship, and reminisce over Brother Alex’s distinguished Masonic journey.
It was a truly great night had by all, and the Right Worshipful Master and Brethren of Lodge Greenock St John’s No. 175 extend their warmest congratulations and best wishes to Brother Alex Galbraith on this exceptional achievement.
