Unique Moment in History

This must surely be one of the most unique moments in the long history of Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175.
In this photograph taken in the museum of The Grand Lodge of Scotland in 2011 are three Brethren of No. 175 who, at the same time, each held the office of Senior Warden at a different level of Scottish Freemasonry:
• Brother Alexander Galbraith – Senior Grand Warden• Brother William O. Lothian – Senior Provincial Grand Warden• Brother Alexander Johnstone – Senior Warden of Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175
To have three members of the same Lodge simultaneously occupying these three distinguished offices was an extraordinary honour for No. 175 and a testament to the esteem in which its Brethren were held.
It was a truly historic occasion—one that is unlikely ever to be repeated—and another proud chapter in the rich history of Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175.
