The Raising of Brother Charles McLatchie
The core of the evening was the 3rd Degree, where Brother McLatchie was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. Taking that "third journey" is a pivotal milestone in any Mason's life, and it was wonderful to witness the degree work which was executed to perfection.
Fraternal Relations
The Lodge had the distinct pleasure of welcoming a deputation from Lodge Faith, Hope & Charity No. 4102, hailing from the United Grand Lodge of England, Province of Yorkshire & West Riding. This was made possible by our very own Bro. Lee Torlay who is a member of 175 but moved south many years ago and affiliated to the aforementioned Lodge.
It is a rare and "fantastic delight" to host first-time visitors from another Constitution, especially those holding such high offices:
Worshipful Master: Bro. Patrick Briston
Senior Warden: Bro. Steve Gower
Junior Warden: Bro. Steve Richardson
Director of Ceremonies: Bro. Phil Beaumont
In a true display of Scottish hospitality and in line with 175 traditions, these brethren were invited to the East to assist the Right Worshipful Master in the Labours of the evening, further strengthening the bonds between the Scottish and English Constitutions.
A Landmark Milestone: Bro. John Albert Le Brocq, PM
Perhaps the most touching moment of the night was the presentation of a 60-year jubilee diploma to Brother John Le Brocq, Past Master.
To put that achievement into perspective:
Six decades of commitment to the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
A lifetime of mentorship and "outstanding achievement" that serves as an inspiration to the newly raised Brother McLatchie.
Bro. Andrew McLean, IPM of Lodge The Gael No. 609, Bro.Le Brocq's son in law, was also present at the meeting and had the honour of assististing the R.W.M. when he presented the service diploma to Past Master Bro. Le Brocq.
"To serve the Craft for 60 years is not just a tenure; it is a testament to a man's character and his belief in the Great Architect of the Universe."

Bro. John Albert Le Brocq, P.M. with R.W.M. Bro. Thomas A. Porteous, P.M.
